Many congratulations to Hazel Bennett and Sandra Jones – Runners up in the National Over 60 Ladies’ triples competition at Nottingham. After very good wins in the Quarter and Semi-finals they eventually lost in the final to Madeira IBC from Exmouth, Devon.
After winning the National Vivienne Trophy at Nottingham last year the club has had three runners up awards at the Nationals this year, in the Men’s Over 60 Double rink, Ladies Over 60 Singles and the Ladies Over 60 Pairs (There seems to be a theme going on there)
Great achievements for our small club and hopefully next year we can go one better again. Well done to all the bowlers and also many thanks to all those who travelled to Nottingham to show their support or sent their best wishes on the day of each competition
