Many congratulations to the Men’s Over 60 Double Rink:-
Joe Peplow, Martin Griffiths, Mike Peirce, Mark Atkins, Marcus Smith, Neil Butler, Mike Dooley and Neil Smith, who had a great result against Ipswich & District yesterday in the quarter final, winning 37-30. They now go on to play Lincoln & District in the semi final at Nottingham on 31st March. Everyone played extremely well but we’re told that special mention must go to Joe Peplow who held it all together on the very last end. Ipswich needed a 6 to win at that point and Joe drew his first bowl straight in for a front toucher – a huge psychological advantage at that stage of the game. Well done everyone and good luck for the finals at Nottingham
