End of year event.

The Bowling year ended with a special Presidents anywhere on the green Pairs event and what great fun it was. Laughter was ringing out across the green as initially total confusion reigned and some very nimble footwork was demonstrated by majority of members as the bowls were travelling all directions. Nick Halligan showed the fine art of the keep jumping (cowboy style) until the danger had passed.

The overall winner was Doreen Dyson as she proved her crown green skills with Ron Coleman pipping Nick Halligan to the top Mens score.

The green has bowled absolutely brilliantly all season and we have received numerous accolades from visiting Teams. We believe we have the best green in the county and it still is in excellent condition at the end of the season.

Congratulations

Alan Crocker and Nick Halligan for winning the TV Express Final. A brilliant result as Alan at a mere 88 years old rolled back the years and demonstrated his stamina and skill throughout the match. We even saw Nick running down the green after his wood. Will the green ever be the same again??

Eastnor Invitation Triples

Cyril Thomas, Roger Orgill and Ron Coleman were in the money as they were Group runners-up at the Eastnor Triples event on Bank Holiday Monday 29th August.
